Growing up, I spent countless hours watching my abuela, mama, and tias kneading dough and whip up delicious meals from scratch. Those early experiences instilled in me a love for homemade food and sparked a curiosity for culinary exploration that would shape my journey in the years to come. As life unfolded and the world around us changed, I found myself drawn back to the kitchen in a whole new way during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a deep desire to nourish and protect my family, I immersed myself in the art of cooking everything from scratch. From experimenting with new recipes to sourcing the freshest ingredients, each day became an opportunity to learn and grow as a home cook. From humble beginnings in my home kitchen, The Tangy Loaf is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the simple pleasure of a homemade meal.
In addition to our artisanal breads and baked goods, we're excited to offer the Mini Chef series—special cooking classes for kids where we explore a particular cuisine together. From Italian pasta to Mexican tacos, each Mini Chef session is an opportunity for young food enthusiasts to learn new skills, discover global flavors, and have fun in the kitchen. I believe in the transformative power of food to nourish the body, uplift the spirit, and bring people together. I'm passionate about teaching children how to cook, recognizing that cooking is not just a survival skill, but also a pathway to independence and confidence.
